This aircraft is equipped with  speed mods to make her a little slicker and a little faster than your average Cherokee line. This aircraft is a great instument platform with WAAS capability, as well as ADSB-in info. The MX 20 extends the view of the infomation provided through the GPS.

This 2001 Cessna 172SP is a simple and economical way to get a family of four to that next weekend vacation spot.  Are you training but you want a little more room than a C152 can provide?  This aircraft has you covered.  The fuel injected 180HP Lycoming IO360 throws the carb heat knob out the window, and the S-TEC System 30 autopilot (manual) coupled with the Garmin 430 (quick refmanual) & 496 (quick ref) GPS’s makes flying those longer trips a snap.  This plane is a great instrument platform as well, with dual vaccuum systems, and a Garmin G5 heading indicator for redundancy, as well as pitot heat for those IFR flights. Additional back up Artificial Horizon as well.

WAAS approaches can be practiced in this comfortable instrument platform. The vaccum system has been removed with 2 fully redundant Garmin G5's for attitude and HSI displays

It has 66 gallons fuel capacity, making it very capable on long cross country flights.

This well-maintained 1972 C172-L is a welcome 4-seat trainer for the club.  In 2020, the engine had a major overhaul completed and it was upgraded to 160 hp piston/prop combination which dramatically improves climb performance.
